When a buyer begins the task of looking for a new home, it’s one of the easiest things in the world to say, “I want to see everything on the market”. In reality, most buyers are exposed to a small fraction of the homes for sale in their selected price range and location. That, frankly, is the best way to conduct a home search.
By prioritizing what one wants in a home and making a list, discussing it with their Realtor and letting the agent do the research, a buyer can eliminate much wasted time and energy.
Buyers can easily get confused if they don’t have an organized home-viewing plan and aimlessly wander about looking at hundreds of homes. This is unproductive for everyone concerned.
It usually isn’t necessary to see everything, and a good agent can show you the choices that most meet your needs, eliminating those that are not worth looking at and only serve to confuse the issue.
